We injest a state of mind
With stregnths of certain kinds
To slow the rate of time
So nothing slips by
Projecting thoughts through the lenses
provoking primitive intentions
evoking acts of temptations
producing countless sensations
See to grasp reality you'd have to break restrictions
Because morality seems to cause a struggle within us
So if social inhibitions lead to nature's prohibition
Then we negate desicions that breed sustainable conditions
But as sensations wear thin
And constraints chime in
the everyday norm will bear a burden
But the apples been eaten
And God's purpose is beaten
Because the time line we're reading
Harbors lines we're not seeing
Like what if compassion just leads to demise
As the need to be nurtured has only caused lies
And seeds of all sorts
Spread with no course
So societal remorse
rewards a draining source
But this constricting conception
Is not all deception
Because it just might stem
From an act of self correction
See, those strengths of certain kinds
Well they lie in the mind
Because our body alone
Will not allow us to thrive
So we devise these tribes
With intent to save lives
As ones chance to survive
Grows incredibly high
But the compassionate urge
Has started to surge
And a desire to save all
Begins to emerge
And when we try to save everyone
And prolong a certain outcome
We all become no one
And our reign is done
